The Venue

Home to a 1km cycle circuit and an outdoor 250m velodrome, York Sport is also an established Cyclo-Cross venue with a history of hosting regional races, the North of England Championships and a National Trophy race in 2018. race weekend.

A technical, fast, twisting and turning course  with a series of epic off camber sections, York has a great mixture of features with its fair share of Yorkshire mud thrown in.  Expect too the clang of cattle bells, carb-laden food and a partisan crowd as spectators flock to one of the easiest to view courses - the viewing balcony around the velodrome makes a matchless platform from which to view virtually the whole course!

For competitors there are big car parks, warm changing rooms and hot showers. Ample water and highly accessible pits complete the picture of a top-notch venue!

The Course

We have tweaked the course for 2019 with the start located at the opposite end of the back straight of the road circuit. This allows for a smoother transition onto the off-road sections of the course. The hurdles will be moving to a position just in front of the main York Sport building. The course is generally more compact and even more spectator friendly.

Feedback Sports Activation

Big Bobble Hats

Welcome to Big Bobble Hats

Having spent many years trying to find the perfect Beanie or Bobble Hat both on the ski slopes and in the great outdoors, it finally occurred to us to create our own. Our first set of beanie hats was worn on a trip to Les Arc and the feedback we received was fantastic, this was when Big Bobble Hats was born.

All of our beanie bobble style hats are designed in Scotland. We have many styles and colours
